Anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF) in China is primarily produced according to the national standard "Industrial Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride," currently GB/T 7746-2023. This standard, implemented on June 1, 2024, replaces the previous GB/T 7746-2011 standard. This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and safety requirements for industrial anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, providing a basis for quality control of industrial anhydrous hydrogen fluoride products.

According to GB/T 7746-2023, industrial anhydrous hydrogen fluoride products require control over key quality indicators, including hydrogen fluoride content, moisture content, and other impurities that affect product quality. Because anhydrous hydrogen fluoride is widely used in fluorochemicals, refrigerant production, fluorine-containing material manufacturing, and the electronics industry, the requirements for product purity and impurity control vary depending on the application. Therefore, quality management in actual production needs to be tailored to the downstream application.

For electronic-grade anhydrous hydrogen fluoride products, in addition to meeting basic purity requirements, it is also necessary to further control trace impurities such as metal ions, particles, and moisture. Processes in the electronics industry, such as wafer cleaning and surface treatment, have high requirements for chemical cleanliness. Therefore, electronic-grade HF typically requires more stringent purification processes and testing methods, and its stability is ensured through dedicated packaging and clean supply systems.
